William enjoyed farming, tinkering with equipment, sharing a good story, making homemade ice cream and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Myers-Howe of Nevada, IA; five children: Mark Allen (Mary) Howe of Bondurant, IA; Nancy Jo (J.B.) Hamilton of Osceola, IA; Russell (Karen) Howe of Ankeny, IA; William (Robin) Howe Jr. of Nevada, IA; and Christopher (Kristin) Howe of Waukee, IA; seven grandchildren: Michael (Carrie) Howe, Melanie (Nick) Herrick, Ryan (Tiffany) Howe, Kyle Howe, Aarin Howe, Lathan Howe and Lydia Howe; and his great grandson, Nathan.

“Sorry for your loss. Bill was a big part of our family while I was in high school. He ran around with my older brother(Gerald who is also deceased). Bill would haul us younger kids around all the time. I have several fond memories of him. He and my brother(Gerald) worked for Cecil Myers in Nevada in the late 50"s. They would drag race their cars backwards in our hay field. Bill always had a strong commitment to work no matter what he was doing. The worst thing that bill could do would be to pass that along to his children that I imagine that he probably did. So please accept my condolences from the entire Freeman family.”
